Ali* wanted to attend a concert with his son, who has a physical disability.
When purchasing tickets to the concert, Ali found that tickets for customers without a disability could be purchased easily online, but customers with a disability were required to fill in a form and wait to be contacted by the ticketing agency. Ali complained that this was a very cumbersome and time-consuming process.
Ali lodged a complaint of disability discrimination with ADNSW.
The complaint was resolved when the ticketing agency assured Ali that they were improving access to tickets for people with a disability and provided him with a $100 voucher to be used for his next ticket purchase.
