Anti-Discrimination NSW is a statutory body that operates under the umbrella of the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).
We are supported in key functions such as human resources, internal audit and risk management, asset management and information technology including cyber security by DCJ and operate under many DCJ policies.
Any personal information you provide to Anti-Discrimination NSW will be protected under privacy legislation, including the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).
We use the personal information you provide in your complaint and in other communications with us to perform our statutory function of investigating complaints of unlawful discrimination.

The Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 protects people working within the NSW public service, including volunteers, contractors and subcontractors, who report serious wrongdoing that they honestly believe on reasonable grounds has occurred. See the DCJ Public Interest Disclosures Policy.
