Indigenous capacity building project

About the project

Anti-Discrimination NSW recognises that many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people face significant barriers when accessing services, including making complaints about discrimination.

To help address this, we’ve partnered with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations to offer culturally safe support. These trusted partners can now assist community members in understanding their rights and help them lodge a complaint with Anti-Discrimination NSW.

Our valued project partners

Anti-Discrimination NSW has currently provided training to these organisations:

Staff in these organisations can discuss discrimination matters with clients and community members and, if appropriate, can help them lodge a complaint with Anti-Discrimination NSW.
