Celebrating NAIDOC Week

Published 29 July 2022

How did you celebrate NAIDOC Week?

On 6 July, the Department of Communities and Justice hosted a Yarning Circle event that a number of ADNSW staff were privileged to attend.

The NAIDOC Week event included a dance performance by Garabara Dance Group, a Yarning Circle with staff, a presentation from Brendan Thomas, Deputy Secretary Transforming Aboriginal Outcomes, and a keynote speech by Isaiah Dawe, Founder and CEO of ID. Know Yourself.

In our Stakeholder Spotlight section below, you can learn more about Isaiah Dawe and his organisation which provides mentoring for Aboriginal young people in foster care.
