Served last at golf club

March 2015

Amy* is an Aboriginal woman. One night she was playing the poker machines at her local golf club. When she went to collect her winnings, the bar manager asked her if she was a member. He then began serving a Caucasian man who had arrived at the bar after her.

Amy lodged a complaint with ADNSW.

The complaint was resolved when the president of the club and the bar manager agreed to provide a statement of regret about the incident and confirm that Amy was welcome at the club.
