ADNSW’s disability discrimination webinar for advocates to be held in October

September 2021

ADNSW will be hosting a webinar from 11am-12pm on Thursday 28th October for disability organisations and advocates so they can better support community members to lodge disability discrimination complaints.

“We are hoping to use this event to discuss our complaints process so as to enable disability sector organisations better utilise our services,” says ADNSW Community Engagement Officer and organiser of the webinar Morlai Kamara.

“The event will also create an opportunity for us to answer some questions from disability sector organisations about our complaint process.”

The online session will cover:

  • Disability discrimination complaints covered by the Anti-discrimination Act 1977 - including the definition of disability and areas of public life covered
  • What is required for a complaint - including consent, time limits and required information.
  • Question and Answer time for the participants

Auslan interpretation will also be available during the webinar. You can learn more or register online.
