Adele* was employed as a casual sales assistant.
She felt harassed by the co-owner of the business as he would be allocating tasks to her which required bending, so that he could enjoy watching her.
He regularly made comments about how she looked in her work pants and that he found her attractive and could not stop looking at her.
The co-owner also told Adele that he wanted her to be ‘his backup girl’ in case his girlfriend left him.
Adele lodged a complaint of sexual harassment with ADNSW.
The complaint was resolved at conciliation when Adele accepted a statement of regret, a statement of service and $500 in settlement.
