ADNSW Annual Report is now available

Our 2023-24 Annual Report is now available, highlighting the important work we do to eliminate discrimination and promote equality and equal treatment for everyone in NSW.

Last year’s financial year achievements include:

  • answering 3,193 enquiries
  • receiving 1,536 complaints 
  • assessing 77 exemption applications 
  • providing advice, comments and submissions on a range of issues and
  • maintaining an active and visible presence at key community events. 

Disability discrimination continues to be the most common type of discrimination referred to in enquiries (25.6%), followed by race discrimination (17.4%).

The Annual Report also details our work with anti-discrimination and human rights bodies across Australia, development of new resources to promote inclusive workplaces such as the Workplace Adjustments Podcast Series, and videos and tip sheet as part of the Inclusive Recruitment Research Project.

Reflecting on the past year and road ahead, President McKenzie noted: “it is an honour to serve as President of ADNSW and I look forward to continuing our work together towards our vision of a discrimination-free NSW.”
