Fostering agency refuses gay man to foster a child

Ronaldo* is a gay man.

He applied through a fostering organisation to foster a child. The fostering organisation refused to consider Ronaldo’s application because he was gay.

Ronaldo Lodged a complaint of homosexual discrimination with ADNSW.

After conciliation, the matter was resolved when the organisation agreed to change their policy. The new policy would ensure the same criteria was applied to all people trying to foster a child regardless of their sexuality.
