It is with the deepest sadness that we share the news of the passing of Immediate Past President of the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW, Helen McKenzie.

Helen was appointed President of the Board in February 2022 and during her time as President, Helen and the Anti-Discrimination NSW team successfully navigated challenges including COVID-19 and the Voice Referendum, and changes relating to the introduction of new religious vilification laws and the Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024 (NSW).

Helen brought not only a wealth of experience to her role, but also an inspiring vision and commitment that has left a lasting impact on our organisation and our people. Her expertise was instrumental to the work of Anti-Discrimination NSW and her invaluable contributions and inspiring leadership will always be remembered with the greatest respect.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Helen’s family and friends during this time of immense loss.

Vale, Helen.
