Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

New to the ADNSW team, I started in December 2022. Before coming to ADNSW, I worked in Tertiary Education for many years. I gained lots of skills and experiences, made lifelong friends and had some amazing times.

I also met my husband there. I was on his interview panel – said no but was out voted by the other 2 panellists and he ended up getting the job!

My husband is Polish and has introduced me to a new language and culture, lots of interesting delicacies (some tastier than others) and wonderful memories visiting friends and family in Poland as often as we can. I am trying to learn Polish and can say a few basic things but grateful that he interprets almost everything when we are there! I also can speak basic Japanese from my school days and Arabic from my family.

Why did you join Anti-Discrimination NSW?

I joined ADNSW because I was excited by the job opportunity to progress my skills and experiences and work in an environment where people make a meaningful contribution and create a sense of belonging in the community.

I am really excited to be part of the ADNSW team and look forward to seeing what comes next.

Can you describe your role?

I manage strategic operations and the business support team who are responsible for providing support for corporate activities including HR, Finance and IT related activities for the ADNSW team. I have a very supportive team who are always ready to assist and provide advice.

What do you like most about your job?

I get to learn about something new each day which is outside of my comfort zone, but it makes my work exciting and rewarding. I also love the new office facilities.

What keeps you busy outside of work?

I have a very curious and cheeky child who keeps me on my toes, I love to travel overseas and enjoy tasting new cuisines.
