Anti-Discrimination NSW invites you to a special event to launch our LGBTQA conversion practices ban Indigenous explainer video.
Conversion practices are harmful practices which seek to change or suppress an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity. They are sometimes referred to as ‘gay conversion’ practices or ‘conversion therapy’.
The event will cover what conversion practices are, the protections under the Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024 (NSW), and how people can report concerns through the civil complaints scheme.
Join host Steph Tisdell and guest presenters as they discuss the impact of the ban and how it supports safer, more respectful communities.
